Squuueeaaalllll!!! Time Travel!!! Suspend all logic, throw common sense out the window and be prepared to be swept away by a unique love story that spans centuries. I do love this genre and there aren't enough books written for the adult market, let alone in Christian Fiction. So I am happy dancing after reading Shenandoah Nights -- especially since it's the first in a series.It's campy and fun and romantically delicious. Benjamin is the stuff heroes are made of and Rebecca is quickly out of her element and not just because she's time travelled back two hundred years. A tenuous romance, some toe-curling love scenes and the shipboard setting all mesh together to make this an unforgettable read.

Shenandoah Nights is a beautiful novella evocative with time travel imagery expressed in words by gifted author Lisa Belcastro. It is easy to see how this wok has been a finalist in literary competition. I highly recommend it.
This is one of the most engaging and beautifully written stories I've read in years. It has just the right mix of everything and is a perfect example of Christian fiction that should (I believe) be made into a feature length film.
Shenandoah Nights is mysterious, historical, and at time humorous, much to the full and varied cast of characters. I absolutely enjoyed connecting with Rebecca, our modern-day heroine, as she struggles to abide by life in the 18th Century. It was like traveling back in time myself.
I look forward to reading more of the Winds of Change Trilogy!

Lisa Belcastro is a phenomenal storyteller, weaving an intricate tale of a most captivating combination of romance, fantasy, history, and adventure. Her characters, especially protagonist, Rebecca O'Neill, infused with tangible, and extremely likeable, individuality, Ms. Belcastro masterfully whisks you into a world so real it leaves you yearning to stay. Handsome Captain Ben Reed isn't a bad incentive, either. Rebecca's surrealistic world quickly becomes yours. Bravo, Ms. Belcastro. I look forward to your second book!
Love the read. I fell in love with the characters and the time travel! The author kept me on edge wandering if Rebecca would make it back to her new found love. I am still on edge....waiting for the second of three series for Shenandoah Nights. Sailing on the Shenandoah with Rebecca was so real and vivid. If you want to drift away on the Shenandoah or in a time travel to 1775 with Rebecca just climb aboard and hold on to your life vest. The only stormy sea you will find here is the dread of not knowing if Rebecca will make it back to her new found love. You will drift along in a sweet and innocent vineyard romance and dream of living vicariously through Rebecca O'Neal. Now that I have finished book one, I cannot wait to read two and three. I just know the author has many more pleasant surprises aboard the Shenandoah. This is an easy read. A very vivid imagination is delicately displayed in the creative details by author Lisa Belcastro.....I am ready to board the Shenandoah for another great sail.........
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author has written a wonderful story that combines wonderful characters, romance, faith, history and time travel that resulted in a book that I couldn't put down after I had started it. I am not usually a fan of time travel books, but Lisa has certainly got me hooked with this one and I certainly look forward to reading the next books in this series.
I read this author's book A Dream for Love and positively adored it, so I snapped this one up. On the plus side, it is clean with thankfully no cursing or graphic sex (though plenty of those romantic warm fuzzies I love). The plot is executed well and for time-travel, almost believable. The characters are well written and it has lots of funny scenes, sweet scenes, and lots of interesting history about the beautiful boat, the Shenandoah. It certainly made me want to take a ride on it! The one thing that grated on my nerves, however, was Rebecca's air-headedness. So many times she would be just sitting and thinking, oblivious to people talking to her - or she would say ridiculous things or make stupid choices. Her being a teacher and well-educated made that a little far-fetched for me, as I expected her to act more...adult? LOL But over all, it was an enjoyable read and I put off house work to finish, lol.
